Prologue
In the year 2050, a war broke lose between U.S.A. and Germany, A World War III, if you presume. All the people who were unable to fight had to be relocated to the colony of Cloral, a water colony. There was one island, about the size of the United States; the rest of it was water. This story focuses on three special children: two boys, who lived on earth till age five, and one girl, who lived on Cloral her whole life. I feel obliged to tell you who they are.
Robert is a kind soul, intelligent, with an open mind, despite the fact he’s only thirteen. He is a bit shy when it comes to emotions. Yet is a truly an adventurous soul. You are going to be reading the story though Roberts eyes. He has a free spirit and can be a bit confusing. He also has a crush on June.
Bob is Roberts’s brother, and is a bit hectic. He can supply comic relief, and has an ammunition department in his backpack. He is a slight coward without any weapons. He always makes sure that his brother’s safe. And acts older than he is: twelve.
June is a kind soul, adventurous, and will do anything for her friends. She’s tough, she's smart, and open minded. She is quick witted, and is a bit of a nincompoop when it comes to scams. She always has an open heart. She also has a crush on Robert.
Time to talk about the planet, the planet Cloral is covered with water, I believe it to be about 98.20982585% water. Its one continent is like a slightly misshapen USA. Its vast oceans have dozens of islands, though the planet is covered by a mysterious veil of strange rifts in time space, allowing no technology to penetrate. So the mystery of intelligent life on this planet is still unknown. We know that there is some intelligent life, some on every hospitable planet. But the planet is strange and perilous; at least that is what the sailor’s say, weird stories of mermaids and wizards and creatures that are like us. The weird part is that there are time space anomalies, so it could be possible. Also there are dozens of tribes, all unaware of one another. Strange thing, the planet is.
Let’s talk about the time period. The famous inventor Roland Poulter-Matinez has retired, he revolutionized energy, making it wireless, and creating a machine that could clean an atmosphere in a month, making the weather as it was in 1950. So light bulbs didn’t need wires, and you could play in your house and still no wires. Also cellular phones still exist, same size, but do much more.
Now, the two boys had to move to Cloral, live with their grandfather, Roland. By this time Robert had the mind of a middle schooler, at age five. Yet he always wishes to return to earth, he is inquisitive at this age, and is still wise. His brother doesn’t care about where he lives; he’s laid back, and usually wields a hammer and a baseball bat.
Robert was thinking about suicide when June came into his life, he was only eleven, but he had a crush on her.
He still missed his home planet, so he decided to make money so that he, Bob, and June could move to earth. Then he saw a “For Hire” sign, he learned what he needed, created thing that he could use, and got the required equipment.
He went into the building, and asked, “Can I apply for the job?”
The lady looked at me, and nodded, then she led me to a room, I went in, in there was a man, “you must be want the job huh, you do realize that it could take your life from you, and you could die?”
“Yes”
Well then, he put a hat on my head, “you better prepare the unda sail.”
The Beginning of an Adventure
Have you ever thought about going on a grand yet extremely dangerous adventure where you are in charge of everything and have fifty adults at your whim?
“WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? YOU GOING TO BE KILLED!” Bob told me the day I was leaving for sea
“Don’t care.”
“It’s suicidal”
“Still not caring”
Then June came up next to me and asked, “What are you two fighting about now?”
“Robert is going out to sea! It’s completely insane!”
“REALY!” she turned to face me, “can I come?”
I nearly fainted, the one girl I like, and SHES asking ME if she can come! “Sh-sh-sh-shure J-J-J-J-J-June”
Bob sighed, “You two are lunatics, but my friends and family,” he shrugged, “so I’m in. hope you have some rooms that I could use, because I’m going to use them.
“Great,” I said, “Because I got eight extra rooms, you can stay there.”
“Wonderful!” June said
“Would you like to have your adventure now, or would you rather have your tea first?”
“Adventure”
I went and told June her room number. She wrote it on her arm and ran on the ship as fast as a cheetah.
I went back to port, and bob told me, “big bro, you may be ignorant, but you are willing. You will go to any length to go home, Earth. You can live any way but always want the way you lost. You have everything you could want, yet you’re willing to go back to the life of little money and risk going to war, just so you can be free. Who’s funding it anyway?”
Then the N.A.S.S.P.E.A (National Aeronautics, Space, and Space-Planetary Exploration Administration) officials came and told me, “Well, hope you are successful with your mission. And the fish you bring back will supply funds for research. And the info you gain will be invaluable in the research of this strange planet,” and left.
Bob just stared at me and said, “The GOVERNMENT is funding this expedition? You got the government to fund it?”
I shrugged and said, “Yah.”
“HOW?” my currently bumbling baboonish brother blurted before me.
“I was the only person willing to go outward and qualified to be captain”
“There’s a reason why they don’t go to sea. Most of the MEN who go out to sea never come back.”
“Well, we’re kids, so the odds don’t apply to us” and I went to my cabin.
I liked this ship the government gave me, I was a once a cruise liner, but the government changed things about it, for one, they re pool is now an agricultural region, one at least. Also some of the rooms have been turned into testing rooms, lavatories, fencing areas, freezers, pantries, training areas, and 5 star rooms for special employees, and crew rooms. It also had a robot that cleaned the hull. But it has some of its old features too, like a dance hall, a dining room, some pool, a giant chess board, a videogame arena, a movie theater, and a bingo hall.
I stared at my ship, a beauty, she was. I loved her look, her stream like form, and its maneuverability. I swear the first fish I catch will be eaten.
We left port at 0900, preparing for an adventure of a lifetime; we had a year supply of food. First thing I did was speak through the speakers, “All crewmates, report to the fishing deck.” I paused, “I like pie.” That felt good.
An hour later, we were in a place with a school of fish, and the fish were flopping onto the boat, 500 feet above sea level. I started cooking a fish. That night, the ship ate like kings. The next day, I saw land, “may June and bob come to the dock, I spot land.”
I know I said we may need a dock, but I meant a place to launch small boats, not a fully fledged dock, with a harbor, conveyor belt, and extra boats.
“So what boat do we take? The flying one? The bogie one? The monkey one?” my brother asked.
“That one,” I was pointing to the 2010 hovercraft boat, “it’s what will be most suited for the environment we’re entering.”
“Why, I want to ride the fancy ones, I never get to do that, common.”
“That’s final, it’s best for carrying us on the horses”
We got on board, and launched. On the way there, I heard bob say, “I still say I’d rather go on foot and ride the boogie boat”
“Suck it up; we’re lucky we’ll explore the unexplored explored.” June said.
“Well, we should be hitting land in the few moments, so be careful, don’t eat anything that is deemed inedible.”
We landed, bob went into a panic attack, “we’re going to die, die I say,” Because we reached the tree line on the boat, “we’ll be stranded on the island; we’ll be unable to get back to the boat! Ahh!” after we got off the boat, I told him the fact the boat was a hovercraft.
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I wanted to see your face when I drove to the tree line.”
I rode for the center of the island, one the way I ran into a swarm of flying piranhas, they ate bobs shirt. Then they were eaten by a swarm of ants that looked like tiny monkeys, then when we went over a wall of yellow brick’s.
They stopped at the wall; they dropped like rocks, “why are they dropping like rocks?”
I smelt the bricks, sulfur, “I think the sulfur is lethal to the ants.” In a few moments the ants were gone.
“Best get moving.”
In the middle of the island, I noticed a small town, and judging by the grade of fabric they were wearing it would be the city. “Let’s see what we can find out about this place, we can’t
go at night anyway, anything could be out there”
I walked to the local inn, “umm, where are we,” I asked the innkeepers daughter.
“Ahh, you must be one of those sailors, my name is Julia starbright, and you are in the town of levitas on the island of Teivel.”
“Can I have a room for four people?”
“sure, that will be 3 eggs and one chicken.”
“Bob, give a chicken and some eggs.”
Bob pulled them from his backpack or department as he called it. “There is your payment, where’s my room?”
In our room, bob asked why not camp out.
“because, who knows what’s out there”
